Stainless steel shows high resistance to weather conditions and chemicals. This is because the steel is enriched with suitable alloying additives. For example, chromium-plated stainless steel contains at least 11% chromium.
The most popular metallurgical products include hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel sheets. The main difference between hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheet is in the finish and dimensional tolerances.
Cold-rolled sheets are used to obtain superior material quality and durability. In other cases, hot-rolled stainless steel sheets are also suitable.
Each of these two categories can be divided into several more grades of stainless steel sheets based on more detailed processing criteria. The products also vary in thickness (from 0.5 to 20 mm) and size. The range available for sale includes stainless steel sheets of 1000 x 2000, 1250 x 2500 and 1500 x 3000.
